More bookings.
Without the 30% cut.

Viator takes 20–30%. GetYourGuide about 20%. Our directory commission is 6%, so you keep 94% — and if you would rather we just ran the bookings on your own website, that is a separate product with a separate price. Free to get listed either way.

Straight answer first: Xrise is not taking payments yet. Applications are open and we are building the first listings now — yours goes on the marketplace with your real prices, and online booking switches on when we switch it on. The first FAQ below says exactly what that means for you.

Run your own numbers

Put in what you actually charge. This is the whole pitch — there isn't a catch hiding behind it.

What would Xrise be worth to you?

Two different products with two different prices. Pick the one you actually want — or both — and put your own numbers in.

Incremental customers only — not your total business.

$49 more per booking, or about $4,704 a year at 8 a month — measured against the cheaper end of published OTA rates, so the real gap is usually wider.

A free listing is the normal starting point: on commission you pay nothing until a booking arrives. Featured placement is an optional add-on — we haven't published a price for it yet, so it is quoted per operator and is not included in the figures above.

Card processing (about 2.9% + 30¢) comes out of the Xrise side on commission deals, not yours. Figures are estimates for discussion, not a quote — final terms go in a written agreement, and whatever that agreement says is what the database charges.

Two products, priced differently on purpose

Supplying you demand and supplying you software are different businesses, so they do not cost the same. Take either, or both. Within each one the billing can be shaped to fit — a skydiving centre doing 200 tandems a month has different maths than a charter captain running weekends.

We supply demand

Directory listing

6% per booking

You appear on xriseexperiences.com, where people search by activity and location. We bring you customers who did not know your name.

Can be billed as: Commission (% of each booking) · Free · Per lead · Flat recurring fee · Custom / negotiated

Best fit: You want more customers and you only want to pay when you get one.

We supply software

Booking engine

Quoted per operator

We have not set this price yet, so we quote it rather than publish a number we made up. Quoted per operator.

Xrise runs the booking on your own website — availability, checkout, card payment and the confirmation email. You keep your site, your brand and your customer.

Can be billed as: Flat recurring fee · Flat fee per booking · Commission (% of each booking) · Recurring fee + reduced per-booking · Custom / negotiated

Best fit: You already get direct bookings and your current system is a phone, a spreadsheet, or software you resent paying for.

Add-ons, alternatives and the full honesty notes are on the pricing page.

Why operators say yes

Incremental customers, not your existing ones

We're not asking you to move bookings you already have. Direct traffic stays direct — Xrise adds people who wouldn't have found you.

Keep your own system

Connect your calendar or booking software and Xrise bookings appear where you already work. No new dashboard to check.

No upfront risk

Free to list. On revenue share you pay only after we've sent a paying customer. If we never send one, you never pay.

You set everything

Your prices, your capacity, your cancellation policy, your blackout dates. We don't discount your trips without asking.

Local, not a call centre

We're in Austin. If something goes wrong you're talking to the person who runs the platform, same day.

Real numbers

See views, clicks, conversion, and revenue for your listings. Most operators have never seen this data about their own trips.

Getting listed

  1. 01

    Apply

Two minutes. Tell us what you run and where.

  2. 02

    Discovery call

About 30 minutes. What you run, how you take bookings today, and whether Xrise is any use to you.

  3. 03

    Onboarding call

We build the listing with you on the call — profile, photos, trips, prices, and how you get paid.

  4. 04

    Activation

Xrise publishes the listing by hand. Your dates and prices go up; online payment switches on when Xrise turns it on, and we will tell you before it does.

Technical setup options are covered in the integration guide.

Questions operators actually ask

Can I take bookings through Xrise today?

No, and that is worth being straight about. Xrise is not taking payments yet — no card can be charged through the site. What is open is applications: you apply, we talk, we build your listing with you, and Xrise publishes it. Your listing, your trips and your real prices go on the marketplace now; online booking switches on when payments do, and you will hear from us before that happens rather than after. There is no date on it, because none is set.

What exactly am I buying?

One of two things, or both. The directory listing puts you on xriseexperiences.com and we take a commission on bookings we send you — we supply demand. The booking engine runs the bookings on your own website and we charge a software fee — you supply the demand, we supply the software. They are priced differently on purpose, and anyone charging you a marketplace commission for software is selling you demand they never supplied.

What does it cost to get listed?

Nothing. Getting listed in the directory is free, and on commission you pay only when a booking comes through us.

When do I get paid?

Once payments are switched on: through Stripe Connect, the money goes to your account at the time the customer pays — we never hold your funds, and our commission is deducted automatically. That is how it is built and it is not running yet, because Xrise is not taking payments. If you'd rather not use Stripe we can pay out manually on a weekly cycle instead.

Will this cannibalise my direct bookings?

It shouldn't, and we'll help you check. If someone already knows your name they'll book you directly. Xrise shows up for people searching by activity and location, not by business name. Your reports break out where bookings came from.

Do I have to change my booking system?

No. Four options: manage availability in Xrise, import your calendar via iCal, connect an API if your software has one, or just confirm requests manually by phone. Pick whatever matches how you already work.

What if I'm already booked when a customer books through Xrise?

That's the double-booking problem and we take it seriously. Connect your calendar and we block those windows automatically. Until then, request-to-book means you confirm before anything is charged.

Can I change the deal later?

Yes. Most operators start on commission and some move to a flat fee once volume justifies it. No penalty for switching, and we'll tell you when the maths flips. Your old terms are closed rather than rewritten, so a booking taken under the previous deal is still priced by the previous deal.

Who handles refunds and complaints?

We handle the booking side — payment issues, cancellations within policy, customer questions before the trip. Anything about the experience itself is yours, since you're the one running it. Your cancellation policy is the one we enforce.

What insurance do I need?

Your own general liability, same as you carry now. Xrise is the booking channel, not the operator — you remain responsible for the activity. We'll ask for a certificate before you go live.

Worth a conversation?

No contract to read yet, no commitment. Tell us what you run and we'll come back with a specific proposal.
