RISEExperiences

Terms

Last updated 28 October 2026

These are the terms for using Xrise Experiences. Plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing — hello@xriseexperiences.com.

Who we are and what we do

Xrise Experiences is a marketplace. Local operators list their own trips at their own prices. When you book, your contract for the trip itself is with that operator, not with us. They run it, they are responsible for it, they hold the licences and insurance for it.

What we are responsible for is the platform: that prices are shown accurately, that the operator is who we say they are, and that your booking reaches them.

Card payments are not switched on yet. Until they are, a booking request is a request, and the operator confirms it with you directly.

Prices, and what we charge

The price shown is the price you pay. We do not add a booking fee, service fee or processing fee at checkout. Taxes are shown where they apply.

Where a cost is genuinely not ours to control — a resort fee charged at a front desk, a government levy, parking — we list it as an exclusion before you pay, with the amount where we know it.

We are paid by the businesses we work with, on commission of 6–12% agreed individually with each of them. That is how the service is funded and it is why there is no fee added to you.

Sponsored placements and how we rank things

Partners can pay to be promoted. When they have, it says so on the placement — labelled “Sponsored” or “Featured”, kept separate from ordinary results.

Organic ranking and what our AI assistants recommend to you are not for sale, to anybody, at any price. This is the promise the business is built on and it has no exceptions — including the one in the next paragraph.

A conflict of interest we are telling you about

Travis Wake Charters, one of the operators listed on Xrise, is owned by the same person who owns Xrise.

We would rather you heard that from us than worked it out. It gets no ranking advantage, it is not featured without the same label anyone else would carry, and our AI assistants do not favour it. Xrise earns no commission on its bookings.

Reviews

Reviews come only from people who actually took the trip. We do not write them, we do not buy them, and we do not delete a review for being unflattering. We will remove one that is abusive, defamatory, or not about the trip.

Cancellations and refunds

Each operator sets their own cancellation policy and it is shown on the listing before you book, not after. That published policy is the one that applies. See any listing for the policy attached to it.

Using the site

  • Don't scrape it, break it, or try to get at other people's data.
  • Don't post anything false, abusive, or not yours to post.
  • Don't book under a false name or with a card that isn't yours.
  • The site, its content and its software are ours.

Risk, and the limits of what we can promise

Adventure activities carry real risk. Wakesurfing, skydiving, off-roading and the rest can injure people who do everything right. The operator will ask you to acknowledge that, usually with a waiver, and you should read it rather than clicking through it.

We provide the platform “as is”. We are not the operator and we are not a party to your trip. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, we limit it to what you paid us.

Travel regulation

Xrise is an Austin, Texas company. We do not sell or ticket flights and hold no IATA or ARC accreditation, by design.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be flagged. Questions: hello@xriseexperiences.com. Xrise, Austin, Texas.

Trip assistant— an AI assistant that suggests listings. It can be wrong; every suggestion links to the real listing.
